The processing of personal data provided by the Website's Users takes place on the basis of:

  • article 6 (1) (b) GDPR for purposes of providing services by Sp. z o.o. via the website to Users including activities before the conclusion of the contract, conclusion of the contract and its implementation, accounting purposes, contact with the User and/or Translator, making settlements via the payment operator, and other activities related to the provision of services via the Website carried out in accordance with the granted by the User's order;
  • article 6 (1) (f) GDPR in order to contact the User (also potential one) as well as to send commercial information, including a newsletter, which is a legitimate interest pursued by the controller;
  • article 6 (1) (a) GDPR for the processing of Translators’ images uploaded to promote a profile on the home page of the Website along with name, surname, language pairs and opinions.

Based on article 6 (1) (b) GDPR Sp. z o.o. processes personal data of the User and the Translator in the form of profiling in order to best match their services to their preferences. Sp. z o.o. does not take automated decisions against the Users based on the profiling referred to in article 22 (1) and (4) GDPR.

Recipients of personal data processed by Sp. z o.o. are business partners of Sp. z o.o., translators, accounting office, hosting company, and internet payment operators, to whom Sp. z o.o. entrusts the processing of personal data of the Users. Sp. z o.o. will store personal data of the User who has not registered on the Website until the expiry of the limitation period for claims arising from the concluded contract or for the period required by separate provisions regarding tax and accounting obligations - depending on which period ends later.

In the case of a registered User - until the User wishes to delete the account on the Website, however, not shorter than until the expiration of the claims under the contract or for the period required by separate tax and accounting regulations - depending on which period it will end later. After this date, the User's personal data will be processed by Sp. z o.o. pursuant to article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, i.e. for purposes resulting from the legitimate interests of Sp. z o.o. for the purpose of direct marketing.

The User has the right to request from Sp. z o.o. access to their personal data, rectification, erasure or limitation of processing, as well as the right to transfer data.

The User has the right to object at any time - for reasons related to his special situation - to the processing of his personal data based on article 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR including profiling based on these provisions. Sp. z o.o. will no longer be able to process such personal data unless the controller demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

If personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, the User has the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning him for the purposes of such marketing, including profiling, to the extent to which the processing is related to such direct marketing.

If the processing of personal data by Sp. z o.o. is based on the consent given by the User, referred to in article 6 (1) (a) GDPR, the User has the right to withdraw their consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing, which was made on the basis of the consent prior to its withdrawal.

The User has the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory body, which is the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.

Providing personal data by the User is a contractual requirement and is voluntary, but necessary to provide services through the Website. Failure to provide personal data results in the inability to provide services via the Website.
